Task 1:
  1. What do you understand about the trend itself? What we understand is this; that it allows instant acesses to the internet from cell phones, laptops, and other mobile computing devices.
  2. Why do you think the trend is important for the future? This is information that we will probably need in the near future so it is important to know more about it now, before we actually must have it.
  3. If the actual report is written for adults, how could the project teams make the information easier for you to understand? Maybe if the terms that are used in the project are put simpler that a child might understand.
  4. What would you expect to find out in each trend's section? The impacts from mobile broadband on the different subjects.
  5. How will you decide if the project team has done a good job of their trend? we can decide iff the wiki is good from this rubric below

  • Does the content (writing) make sense? Yes, only some small parts/sentences do not make sense.
  • Can you identify any areas which need clarification? Yes, the home page on the Mobile Broadband,around the Background-the information is thrown out and under videos in Science, Environment, and Health,Arts, Entertainment and Leisure and Education.
  • Pose three questions that arise from your reading - it could be questions about ambiguity of content, questions that were not addressed, or questions that you had after reading it (you would like more information). 1)What about the information on preschool/elementary parts of the impact on education wiki.2) Where is the information and/or visual aids on the college education. 3)Who are the team members in the Impact on Science, the Environment, and Health wiki.

Communication

  • Look at the Discussion pages of the wiki pages - effective communication? Not really but there is some discussions about the wikis.
  • Do they need more? Yes, espically under the Impact on Education.
  • Are they clear in their messages to each other? Yes, very clear but it would be better if they adressed the questions that they answered in their discussions.
  • Is there a sense of negotiation and collaboration? Negotiation, no; collaboration, yes.

Collaboration

  • Does the work appear to be equally shared? At times it does at other times it seems like it is written by only one person.
  • Does there appear to be any difficulties by one or more members of the team? Not really, all of the wikis look really good-even though they are still not finished.

Presentation - Layout and Design

  • amount and relevance of graphics and media - comment: Alot of good graphics/media.
  • Recommendations? Yes, i would recomend this.
